Innovative Salmon Farming

When we talk about sustainable salmon farming, we are talking about verifiable reality. In Denmark, together with our partner Skagen Salmon, we demonstrate how modern food production can look today: resource-efficient, transparent, uncompromising in quality, and for the well-being of the fish.

Here, it is impressively demonstrated that economic viability, animal welfare, and environmental awareness can function together. For personal experience and viewing during on-site tours

With Skagen Salmon, we offer a premium salmon that visually stands out from the mass market, convinces with its taste, and sets new sensory standards.

Firm texture, natural color, 25% less fat content – this is the result of ideal, movement-focused growth conditions and modern technology combined with genuine craftsmanship. The facility is designed to optimally promote the vitality of the animals from the egg onwards. No “swimming in circles” in overcrowded net pens. No deposits and sludge that negatively affect the taste.

For our own breeding, strict selection is applied to ensure the best possible gene pool for healthy, resilient fish. Only carefully selected, regional organic feed, perfectly tailored to the animals’ needs, is used.

This results in salmon that grows in closed, controlled systems. It is free from unwanted parasites and antibiotics, which is confirmed by independent laboratory analyses. This means it does not need to be frozen and retains its natural texture and fresh taste. This creates salmon that sets new standards in sashimi quality.

Future Fish from Europe

Why we rely on Skagen Salmon

As a general contractor for high-quality food, we stand by our products with our name. That’s why we only invest in companies that share our mindset. Skagen Salmon fits perfectly into this picture: the combination of technological progress, transparency, and responsible thinking shows where premium production can develop.

Innovation & Economic Efficiency

No overfishing, no bycatch, no transport halfway around the globe. Instead, local production for the European market.

The facility in Skagen represents a new generation of farming. In the closed land-based recirculating aquaculture system (RAS), salmon grows under optimal conditions: free from antibiotics, without interfering with natural ecosystems, and with a fraction of the water consumption of conventional farming methods. The result: vital, healthy fish that not only taste excellent but also bring the good feeling of true sustainability.

Nothing is left to chance in the production itself. The water is filtered, treated, and constantly monitored, the waste heat from the plant is used, waste is processed in the in-house biogas plant, and wind power and a solar system cover the energy demand with 100% green electricity. This creates a product that sets standards in terms of food safety and CO₂ balance from egg to plate.
